Support Options

We offer an extensive range of support solutions, from support in an individual’s own home for a few hours a day, through to 24 hour specialised registered nursing services. If you cannot find something on this site which exactly meets your specific needs we would be delighted to talk to you with a view to providing a tailor-made service.

If you’re interested in Voyage providing you with an individual package of care to support you in the community but you need advice and support to find somewhere to rent or own in your preferred area, we have a network of useful contacts around the country who may be able to help you find something suitable.

Where we provide registered services, these are spacious, tastefully decorated, comfortably furnished and carefully adapted to meet the needs of each person living there. Most bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms giving you even greater privacy and convenience. Some services offer environments with very high levels of adaptation and equipment to meet the specialised requirements of those with complex needs. Everyone is encouraged to bring their own belongings and make choices about the décor in their own rooms. In addition to these standard features, many services offer extra in-house facilities such as a swimming pool, a Jacuzzi, a sensory or “snoezelen” room, pottery facilities, a kitchen garden or a workshop.

The high standards we routinely deliver in these registered services are reflected in our Care Quality Commission inspection ratings of 92% attaining excellent (***) or good (**).

The location of our services is important, in order to offer access to a wide range of local facilities. We have a good mix of rural, suburban and urban settings to meet individuals’ preferences. We appreciate that some people like a very busy social life with a lot of choice available, while others prefer peace, quiet and a slower pace of life. Access to work experience, certain types of job and education facilities and public transport routes may be strong factors that influence your final choice.

Before anyone moves into a service, we use a variety of referral procedures to make sure everyone living there is compatible, that they feel comfortable and at ease, and that they and their families and care managers are happy with the situation.

Referral procedures and assessments always include extensive discussions with all concerned to ensure a full understanding of needs and aspirations, with plenty of time to discuss any anxieties or concerns. Individuals can visit more than one service if they wish, and we can usually offer trial stays before a final decision is made.

It is vital that the service users and their families have plenty of time to get to know staff and become familiar with their new surroundings. After someone moves into a service, regular reviews will take place to ensure they continue to be happy and are receiving the support they need to progress.
