In September 2009, the Learning and Skills Council invited organisations to bid for funding to develop e-learning content. There was approximately £1m available for up to four bidders to share. The Voyage bid was developed in conjunction with other partners including Embrace e-learning (who will develop the e-learning itself), British Institute of Learning Disabilities (BILD), Headway (the Brain Injury Association), Staffordshire University, Natspec (The National Association of National Specialist Colleges) and Learning Curve.

Voyage are pleased to announce the launch of our new website. As well as having a new look, the site has been redesigned to be more accessible, with the focus being on providing the information our current and potential service users need and want.

The site also has several exciting new features. These include the ‘Creating Opportunities’ section, where you can read a selection of inspirational stories from our services, based around a number of themes such as ‘personal goals’ and ‘education and training’, and the ‘What Makes Voyage Different’ section, where you can learn about new initiatives and achievements taking place in the company.

There is also an expanded section on different support options, which includes information on supported living, lifestyle support packages and the other personalised support we provide.

Along the top of the page you will find a selection of ‘accessible’ options to make the site easier to use. On many pages this includes an easy to read, illustrated pdf version of the information provided.

We hope you find the site interesting and informative.
